A Class For Strength and Stability
Service Description
An accessible Yoga class, designed to strengthen and target foundation muscles in the body, with a focus on building stability and strength, that can carry throughout every activity in life, avoiding injury. Using props to activate the muscles and fascial lines in the body, we’ll learn to bring the Warrior into our Warrior Pose, with balance and stability. A practice for all abilities and all bodies. This class is designed to reset some habits of movement, with an eye to preventing injury as we engage in the everyday activities of life. Build core strength to carry us on and off our mats. Working within our range of motion, while knowing that it can change. Learning to shift our focus from “making our body do Yoga” to using props, activations, and support, to explore what Yoga can do for our bodies to bring ease, reduce pain, and prevent injury. Join Val (a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher: with extra training in Yoga for Memory Maintenance and Dementia Prevention; Breathwork Foundations; and an interest in Activated Asana/Anatomy work; Neuro-science and Neuro-plasticity; Fascia and Somatics; and Poly-vagal theory), each Sunday, for a session designed to strengthen your body, on and off the mat.
