Yoga for the Pelvic Floor Workshop

Service Description

We need to talk about the Pelvic Floor, that great overlooked, ignored, often unmentioned (sometimes labeled “unmentionable”), foundation of our body. Not exactly core and not exactly hip flexor, it hold strong links to both, and is influenced by both. It’s time to work with this critical facet of our health. We’ll do more than just Mula Bandha or ‘keep up with our Keegels’. Join us as we dive into the structures that make up the pelvic floor, and how we can work with this ‘oh so important’ area, building strength and tone, so it stays a healthy and happy part of our centre. Let’s explore how Yoga can help us not only build strength when we need more strength, but also bring in relaxation when we need it to release. We’ll work on building tone and re-connecting to our root, in a safe space, without judgment or fear. This workshop with be a combination of poses, some anatomy (minimal, I promise), self-awareness during movement, and breathwork techniques.
